Family Resource and Youth Services Centers were established as a component of the historic Kentucky Education Reform Act (KERA) of 1990. The mission of these school-based centers is to help academically at-risk students succeed in school by helping to minimize or eliminate noncognitive barriers to learning.Our school Family Resource Center Coordinator position is currently vacant. Family Resource Centers offer:
Health and education services for assistance with full-time child care for 2- and 3-year-olds, new and expectant mothers.
Education to enhance parenting skills and education for preschool parents and their children.
Support and training for day-care providers.
Health service and referrals to health agencies.
